MASTERS OF THEIR CRAFT

I am continuously striving to find the best suppliers and manufacturers Europe has to offer. Having been in business since 2010 I have grown tremendously strong relationships with all my suppliers. In 2018 I was honoured to be put on the Scabal wall of fame with a locker in the Savile Row store next to Paul Smith!

As my collections evolve I look forward to sharing my treasured finds of luxurious materials and products.

Here is some general information from my largest contributors to date.

SCABAL

Scabal’s heritage English mill is located in Huddersfield, the home of traditional English cloth making and has existed since the 16th century. A large majority of our collections are still woven here. As with many Yorkshire mills, the area’s soft water gives the cloths a recognisable fine finish.

Scabal have been located at No.12 Savile Row since 1972. The home of British tailoring!

Famously Marlon Brando wore Scabal in The Godfather, and Robert De Niro wore Scabal suits in Casino!

LORO PIANA

Loro Piana is an Italian fabrics and clothing company specialising in high-end, luxury cashmere and wool products. The company produces about 5 million meters of fabric each year.

Originally from Trivero (a district in north Italy famous for textile production), the Loro Piana family started as merchants of wool fabrics at the beginning of the 19th century. In the second half of the 19th century, the family moved its activity to Valsesia and founded the Lanificio Fratelli Lora e Compagnia, followed by Lanificio di Quarona di Zignone & C. at the beginning of the 20th century. Franco Loro Piana, Pier Luigi's father, started exporting fine fabrics in the 1940s and Pier Luigi and his older brother, Sergio, joined in the 1970s.

A fun fact! Since 2000, Loro Piana has sponsored an annual prize for the best bale of wool, which produces enough fabric for 50 men's suits. Generally, it is won by an Australian or New Zealand woolgrower. In 2008, Loro Piana paid a record 48,000 cents per kilo for a bale of superfine merino wool averaging 12.5 micron produced by Peter and Greg Munsie and Phil and Judy Fittler of Uralla, New South Wales!

LIBERTY OF LONDON

Liberty, commonly known as Liberty's, is a luxury department store in London, England. It is located on Great Marlborough Street in the West End of London. Known around the world for its close connection to art and culture. As you can see from the linings I have used, it is most famous for its bold and floral print fabrics.

EMANUELE MAFFEIS

The Company founded in Bergamo, Italy in 1958 by Emanuele Maffeis, who enjoyed the legacy of generations of knowledge, and resulted in the creation of a shirt of the highest quality within the tradition of the Italian textile industry. The continuous research both at home and overseas for special fabrics, the development of perfectly fitting patterns, the near obsessive attention to detail together with the ever present hand-finishing are the hallmarks of an Emanuele Maffeis shirt. The combination of handcrafted detail with the search for innovation, have resulted in unparalleled comfort and perfect fit.
